Los Angeles · Wolf cooking equipment
Your Wolf is not broken in general. It is broken in one specific way.
Ranges, wall and steam ovens, gas and induction cooktops, and the ventilation above them — diagnosed on instruments in Los Angeles kitchens, quoted before anything is opened up, and repaired by someone who works on nothing else.
Flat $89 service call — the trip and the full diagnosis, credited against the repair you approve. Answered 24/7; visits 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days.
What we repair
Four kinds of call, and nothing outside them
Cooking equipment only. That is why the van has the igniter and the door spring on it instead of a bit of everything.
-
Wolf Range Repair
All-gas and dual-fuel Wolf ranges: ignition, burner output, oven cavity heat and the control boards behind both halves.
- A burner clicks over and over but never catches
- Cooktop still works, the oven side went dark after an outage
- Simmer will not hold — the flame either roars or drops out
- Griddle browns unevenly, cool at the back and scorching at the front
-
Wolf Oven Repair
Wolf wall ovens, single and double, plus steam models — drifting temperature, dead convection, tired door seals and locked-out panels.
- Bakes twenty degrees cold however long it preheats
- Convection fan whines, then goes quiet part way through a roast
- Door sits crooked and the glass steams up from inside
- Panel shows an error code and the door will not release
-
Wolf Cooktop Repair
Wolf gas, induction and electric cooktops — spark modules, sealed burners, inverters and glass touch panels.
- Induction zone cuts power a few minutes into a heavy pan
- Flame burns lazy and yellow, and blackens the pans
- Clicking carries on after every burner is already lit
- One zone runs full blast whatever the control is set to
-
Wolf Range Hood Repair
Wolf hoods, inserts and pro ventilation — blower motors, speed controls, baffles, lighting and the ductwork behind them.
- Fan is loud but the smoke still sits over the range
- Lights flicker, or one bank has stopped altogether
- Blower keeps running until we trip the breaker
- Bad vibration and a metallic rattle on the highest setting
Where we work
One route across the city, four stops on it
The valley end and the coast end of Los Angeles break this equipment in different ways, so the neighbourhood is part of the diagnosis rather than a line in an address.
-
Woodland Hills
91367
Remodelled valley ranch houses built around 48-inch ranges, in summers hot enough to punish blowers and boards.
-
Westwood
90024
Village high-rise condos and pre-war Spanish homes near campus — small kitchens, shared risers, awkward hood runs.
-
Venice
90291
Walk-street cottages and gutted bungalows blocks off the sand, where marine air works on igniters and hood hardware.
-
Playa Vista
90094
New-build lofts and townhomes with compact open-plan kitchens and very little clearance behind the range.

Tell us what it is doing. We will tell you what it is.
A description over the phone gets you an honest first opinion and the right parts on the van. The flat $89 service call covers the trip and the diagnosis, and comes off the repair when you approve it.

Before you call
The six things people ask first
Do you only work on Wolf equipment?
Cooking equipment is what this business is set up for: gas and dual-fuel ranges, wall and steam ovens, gas, induction and electric cooktops, and the hoods above them. Refrigeration is a different trade with a different parts inventory, so we do not take it on.
What happens on the first visit?
The technician runs the appliance the way you do, takes readings rather than guesses, and tells you what is wrong and what putting it right involves before touching a screwdriver. The figure is agreed with you first. If you decide against the work, you have still had a full diagnosis.
How much is the visit itself?
The service call is a flat $89, which covers the trip and the diagnosis and is credited in full against the repair if you go ahead with it. Parts and labour are quoted separately once the fault is known, and nothing is ordered without your say-so.
How soon can somebody get out here?
Visits run from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven days, and the phone is answered around the clock. Woodland Hills, Westwood, Venice and Playa Vista sit on the regular route, so a morning call usually gets an afternoon slot on that route.
Do you carry parts on the van?
The common ones, yes: igniters, spark modules, thermal fuses, door springs, gaskets, lamp holders, blower controls. Anything specific to your model that is not on board gets ordered, and you are told what the wait is before it is placed.
My range is fine but the kitchen fills with smoke. Is that a hood job?
Usually, and often not the hood itself. A blower running at full tilt into crushed ducting or a roof damper that has gummed shut moves almost no air. We check what the ventilation is actually pulling before recommending anything be replaced.
Start with the symptom

Range Repair
- A burner clicks over and over but never catches
- Cooktop still works, the oven side went dark after an outage
- Simmer will not hold — the flame either roars or drops out
- Griddle browns unevenly, cool at the back and scorching at the front
First move: Igniters and spark modules first, then manifold pressure — a range that lights badly is far more often ignition or gas supply than a control board.
Oven Repair
- Bakes twenty degrees cold however long it preheats
- Convection fan whines, then goes quiet part way through a roast
- Door sits crooked and the glass steams up from inside
- Panel shows an error code and the door will not release
First move: A probe on the middle rack through a full preheat. Sensor drift, a tired element and a door that no longer seals all read differently once there is a number to look at.
Cooktop Repair
- Induction zone cuts power a few minutes into a heavy pan
- Flame burns lazy and yellow, and blackens the pans
- Clicking carries on after every burner is already lit
- One zone runs full blast whatever the control is set to
First move: For induction, whether the unit is shutting down on heat rather than on fault; for gas, flame colour and orifice size before anything electronic is suspected.
Range Hood Repair
- Fan is loud but the smoke still sits over the range
- Lights flicker, or one bank has stopped altogether
- Blower keeps running until we trip the breaker
- Bad vibration and a metallic rattle on the highest setting
First move: What the hood is actually moving at the filter face, then upstream: ducting, dampers and the speed control, in that order.
Ranges, ovens, cooktops, hoods — nothing with a compressor.
Why cooking equipment only
One trade, learned properly
A Wolf range is a gas appliance with a computer bolted to it, and the two halves fail for completely different reasons. Diagnosing one properly means owning a manometer and knowing what the manifold should read, and also knowing which relay on which board takes the hit when the power browns out. That is a narrow skill set, and it is the only one this business keeps.
So there is no refrigeration on the van and no dishwasher parts in the bins. What is on board is what a range, a wall oven, a cooktop or a hood in a Los Angeles kitchen actually needs: igniters and spark modules, thermal fuses and sensors, hinge springs and door seals, lamp holders, blower and speed controls, and the brackets and fasteners that hold all of it in.
The other half of the job is this city. Equipment west of the 101 fails on heat and dust; the same model near the sand fails on salt; a Westwood condo fails on the ductwork it was given rather than on anything inside the hood. We diagnose against the kitchen the appliance lives in, not against a generic fault tree.

One element stayed at full heat whatever the knob said, alarming in a condo kitchen this small. A welded relay. He isolated it, changed it, and left the counter cleaner than he found it.
Jerrold I. · Westwood
Two front burners would not light and one smelled faintly of gas at startup. A knob switch had gummed shut from a spilled marinade. Sorted in one visit, and he explained why.
Aram K. · Westwood Village
The blower would not switch off and we were killing the breaker at bedtime. A speed switch had failed closed; he showed me the fused contacts. Quiet kitchen again by that afternoon.
